Fl. Bay or S. Biscayne Bay cant go wrong

The weather has been incredible for the last few weeks giving me the chance to fish a bunch of different areas. Flamingo as usual has been “Red Hot”. I took my good friend Doc and his kids Briana and D.J. to Flamingo. They had never been there or fished off a boat. It didn’t take long and they were reeling in Snook after Snook. D.J. caught a nice Redfish and Doc caught a giant Ladyfish. We used the Ladyfish for some Shark fishing. Briana Caught a 80 Lb. Lemon Shark all by herself and D.J. and Doc teamed up to beat a 8 ft giant Lemon Shark. D.j also had a very large Snook come off right at the boat.

The back country still has some Tarpon action as well as the coast. There are plenty of fish up shallow and along the edge of the flats. I fished with my buddy Mike M from Bob Hewes boats and he had a pretty nice day of non stop action. We also played with some small Tarpon.

This time of year South Biscayne Bay offers some really fun fishing in the channels. The key is live bait and somedays its not that easy. but when you do its game on. Mutton Snappers, Yellow Jacks, Groupers, Mangrove, Yellowtail and Lane Snappers, Barracuda’s and Sharks. There are also Permit roaming the edge where we sit.

Caught Lookin Charters is a family friendly charter so dads bring the whole family. Give me a call at 305 333 8149 and lets go catch em up!

Julie and Daryl are here from Texas, Tarpon were on the list but nowhere to be found. We started out of Haulover Marin and got some bait, we made a quick few stops but nothing but small Cuda’s. We stopped in Government Cut looking for Tarpon, none there. I ran south to Key Biscayne looking for them around the bridges but nothing but Jacks. We made a run south to fish the channel edges it was ok but not on fire. We caught 20 inch Mangroves, Mutton Snapper, Yellow Jack, Blue Runners, Shark, Giant Houndfish and Snook. Daryl caught his first Snook and missed the second which was a monster.

Sorry about the distorted pictures!
