This is a fun time of year in South Biscayne Bay. While we are waiting for the Mullet run to happen the Pilchards show up. This make targeting Mutton Snappers easy and fun, We also catch the tough fighting and great Sushi grade Yellow Jack. There are plenty of other species as this family found out. The Mangrove Snappers, Barracudas, Sharks, Yellowtail Snappers and giant Needlefish. Its a great catching.
Meanwhile at Flamingo we still have Tarpon and Snook loving this cool down. The baits have moved in on the coast which helps catch more fish.
I did get into a giant area of Mullet in Key Largo last weekend it was loaded with Tarpon from small to very big. There were some Snook blowing up the Mullet as well Sharks, Jacks and Barracudas. Its that time of year it can happen any day. The N.E. winds been blowing this week so maybe some of the Mullet that have been north of us will move down off of Miami Beach.
I have been all over lately wherever there is bait moving we are chasing it. Great action for the whole family
